Mark Stephens

Mark has a long-standing interest in comparative housing research and policy transfer. He led the EU Study on Housing and Exclusion (European Commission 2010), and has undertaken a wide range of research and consultancy for international organisations including UN Habitat, UN Economic Commission for Europe, the European Parliament and the Council of Europe Development Bank. Mark has an interest in post-socialist housing systems and is co-author (with Martin Lux and Petr Sunega) of the widely cited article, “Post-socialist housing systems in Europe: housing welfare regimes by default?” (Housing Studies, 2015).
